September 2010 CAPHRI employs approximately 360 people (101 FTEs scientific and 37 FTEs support staff) and has 125 (89 FTE) internal PhD students and 106 external PhD students (doing research at institutions elsewhere). 50% of the PhD students are non-Dutch, which signifies CAPHRI’s truly international spirit.
In 2010, CAPHRI obtained more than 10 million Euros of grants, of which 17 EU grants.
In 2009, CAPHRI obtained 8.24 million Euros of grants (including grants from prestigious (inter)national funding organisations).
In 2008 CAPHRI obtained 8.3 million Euros of grants.
In 2010, CAPHRI had 872 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
In 2009, CAPHRI had 585 publications in the most important international journals, such as Science, Nature, the Lancet, JAMA and NEJM.

In 2009, 2 PhD students received a CAPHRI exchange grant to go to the US National Institute on Aging. A CAPHRI top PhD student published in the Lancet, was interviewed by Science, graduated ‘cum laude’, and was nominated for the prestigious BMJ Award ‘Research Paper of the year 2009’.
In 2008, a PhD student received the NWO Rubicon grant for talented researchers; a CAPHRI thesis won the CaRe dissertation Award; and a senior researcher the CaRe Lecturer award.
