House Style
On the website of the UM House Style Office (via my UM on
www.maastrichtuniversity.nl
) you will find under the headline "house style" a survey of the applications of the house style on the various communication media. It gives you an idea about the implementation of the house style. The house style is in essence one organisation, one name, and one visual identity.
When used
The affiliation has to be mentioned in articles, theses and presentations.
Thesis
In a thesis the following text has to be included:
'The research presented in this thesis was conducted at the School for Public Health and Primary Care: CAPHRI, Department <name>, of Maastricht University. CAPHRI participates in the Netherlands School of Primary Care Research CaRe. CAPHRI was classified as ‘excellent’ by the external evaluation committee of leading international experts that reviewed CAPHRI in December 2010.'
Affiliation
CAPHRI prefers an affiliation with indication of the school as 'CAPHRI' instead of the name 'CAPHRI School for Public Health and Primary Care'.
Should a longer piece of text be possible in case of affiliation, the extended indication can be used. However, it is allowed to use only 'school CAPHRI' or 'research school CAPHRI'.
The whole affiliation will be for example:
• Maastricht University/CAPHRI
• Maastricht University/CAPHRI School for Public Health and Primary Care
or:
• Maastricht University/school CAPHRI/name of the Department
CAPHRI logo
In the attachments you will find the CAPHRI logo in several formats. The CAPHRI management expects you to use this logo in presentations related to CAPHRI research.
In addition to this, for obvious reasons the CAPHRI logo should be used when it is useful and necessary.

In order to make a presentation according to the house style directions you can use a PowerPoint template (Dutch or English). Please, check the attachments or refer to the website of the UM House Style Office.

Scientific Posters
You can easily create scientific posters in accordance with the house style guidelines using a PowerPoint layout grid/template. Please, check the attachment 'scientific poster CAPHRI' or refer to the website of the UM House Style Office.
