Acutehoest.nl: a website for GPs in the making
Acutehoest.nl is a new website currently being developed for general practitioners. The website is based on the PhD research of CAPHRI researcher and GP trainee, Jochen Cals, which aimed at countering unnecessary antibiotic use in general medicine. Since graduating with his PhD in December 2009, Cals has been approached by GPs from across the country with questions on his research results. This is also where the idea for the new website came from. “GPs can log on and follow an interactive module”, explains Cals. “The website will be ready by the end of the year.”
