First two Veni-grants within the School CAPHRI

Dr. Rik Crutzen and dr. Liesbeth van Osch, both employed at the Department of Health Promotion, were awarded the prestigious Veni-grant from the NWO Division for the Social Sciences.

In his research, dr. Crutzen will continue his focus on the use of technology, especially the Internet, within the field of health promotion. His aim is to optimize the user experience and therewith improving the public health impact of Internet-delivered interventions.

Dr. van Osch will target the difficulties people experience when translating their good intentions into healthy behavior. She will investigate the effectiveness of planning strategies in bridging this intention – behavior gap.

Both researchers, of course, are very happy with this achievement, “this is not only important for our personal careers, but also for the School CAPHRI.”
