On 8, 9 & 10 June 2020, the 6th edition of the course 'Klinische predictiemodellen - theorie en praktijk’ will take place in Van der Valk Hotel, Maastricht. The course, which will be in Dutch, is intended for healthcare professionals, PhD students and senior researchers who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of prediction modelling. Teachers are Prof. dr. Luc Smits (Department of Epidemiology, Maastricht University) and Dr. Sander van Kuijk (Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Technology Assessment, MUMC+), and guest lecturers.
Parts of the course are: development of prediction models, internal and external validation, impact evaluation, imputation of missing values, and critical appraisal of the literature. The course lectures are interspersed with examples of prediction research as well as practicals which allow the student to practice with the development and validation of prediction models (in SPSS or R) and critical appraisal.
Price of the course is € 800.- including course materials, 3x lunch, as well as coffee, tea, and water.
Maximum number of participants is 20, registration is possible through the course website.
Accreditation has been requested. Last years, 18 accreditation hours were granted (clusters 1, 2 and 3).
